Lea, Roswell, New Mexico, as the Historical Center for Southeast New Mexico Museum and Museum Archives. Its a reminder of turn-of-the-century life in this area while preserving documents and photographs. To step inside this outstanding museum is to step back in time. The home is filled with an incredible array of antiques and artifacts. Throughout is memorabilia relating to the area early period. Feel free to browse the rooms to see just what is awaiting you when you visit. The archives are located in a new building next door to the museum. The archives contain over 11,000 photographs of the past, thousands of books and manuscripts, obituaries, newspaper articles dating back to the early 1900's and other memorabilia that depict the wild west days of the Pecos Valley.
